Help Crooked Path Theatre Go to the Edinburgh Fringe!

HELP US TAKE THIS ASTOUNDING PLAY TO THE EDINBURGH FRINGE FESTIVAL!

We are Crooked Path Theatre, a professional company located in Iowa City and surrounding communities. Founded in 2015 by Broadway actor Patrick Du Laney (Harry Potter and the Cursed Child) and Christopher Okiishi, we have dedicated our efforts to producing rigorous theatre that astonishes and illuminates.

Our productions have included Shakespeare’s Hamlet and Merry Wives of Windsor, the Iowa Premieres of What the Constitution Means to Me and Marjorie Prime, and the Stephen Sondheim musical Company.

And this past year, we had the great pleasure of producing the World Premiere of We’ll Get Back To You by New York Times best-selling author Rob Bell and directed by Tony-nominated director Kristin Hanggi. Most performances at Mirrorbox Theatre were sold out! This model is an opportunity for artists from across the country to “meet in the middle,” premiering their work here in Iowa as a developmental step in launching the play to a national audience.

We’ll Get Back to You features the talents of some of Iowa’s finest actors, whom you have seen on stages up and down the Corridor. And we are now poised to take the next step.

We’ll Get Back To You has been invited to participate in Scotland’s International Edinburgh Fringe Festival in August 2025!

This famous festival has been the launchpad for innovative and thrilling work, including Fleabag and Baby Reindeer. We need your help to get our company to the Fringe and to champion Iowa Theatre as a place to build brand new work.
