My name is Celeste, owner of VEE Entertainment based in San Antonio, TX. I’m raising funds for my contract employee Cristy, whose life has been turned upside down by the crazy run of natural disasters in the Philippines lately.

Cristy has been part of VEE Entertainment since August 2023 — working alongside me as an administrative assistant, booking agent, and social media coordinator. She is one of the most hardworking people I know, and has earned my trust over the last two and a half years.

On July 24, a powerful typhoon tore the roof off her home in Talisay, near Cebu City. Then, on October 10, an earthquake struck, knocking down several of her walls.

She had just begun repairs when Typhoon Kalmaegi hit on November 4, destroying what little remained and flooding her entire city.

When the storm surge rushed through her neighborhood, Cristy scrambled to the roof with her children and waited there through the night — more than seven terrifying hours — before they were rescued. They lost everything except her phone.

Cristy is the primary provider for her family, supporting her mom and children through her work as a virtual assistant. She plans to use these funds to rent a temporary residence while she rebuilds. She also needs to replace the laptop and equipment that was destroyed and purchase a generator so she can continue working. Her freelance work is her only source of income, and with so many tragedies in a row she's got nothing left.

Cristy has quietly supported me and my business through countless challenges, and now it’s our turn to help her rebuild her life.
