My name is Cristina, and I am reaching out for help during one of the most challenging times my family has ever faced. After my husband was detained by ICE and deported, I was left alone to care for our six children. My health has also suffered greatly—I had heart surgery in February 2025, which required a catheter to be inserted, and I continue to struggle with high blood pressure, depression, and other health issues. In October, I was detained and put in an ICE hold, leaving my children alone. When I was released, I suffered a stroke in December. I traveled to Mexico, and when I tried to return home, I was denied reentry to the United States. My two oldest children stayed at home, but I was unable to be with them until I was finally allowed to come back in mid-March. By then, bills had piled up, and I was already late on rent, facing an eviction notice, and now have April rent due.

Since returning, I have started working, but it has been incredibly difficult to catch up. I lost my car, which has made it even harder to get around and provide for my family. Despite everything, I am pushing forward and doing everything I can to get caught up on rent and bills so my children and I can have some stability again.

The funds raised will help us keep a roof over our heads, pay overdue rent and bills, cover transportation costs, and help with my medications. Any support you can offer would mean the world to us.
