Christina: Queen of Black Rock City is in the water but needs a little "push" to set sail, will you help! For years, owner Flipper Manchester has been a force for good on the playa and in the default world. He has selflessly brought his passion and skill to the citizens of BRC with no expectations. His only wish has been to see the many smiles that his work and Christina bring. Over the years the boat has been a source of happiness and inspiration for so many Burners and has spured connections between people that will last many lifetimes.
An unforseen tragedy has just occured en route to the playa from Christina's operational center in Tahoe. The main heavy equipment trailer and critical infrastructure building tools were destroyed in a freak accident. The disaster left a completely burned out tractor trailer, skytrack and tool cat in its wake and without them Christina is in jeapordy! The equipment is used to assemble the boat, install equipment on it and for maintenence/service during the event!
This tragedy coulnd't have come at a worse time. The team is now waiting idle on new equipment and the Christina's financial resources are tapped! They need your support to get the playa's only super-yacht back home. It will only be with your help that we can continue to enjoy the amazing vibes and one of the best parties on the playa. The crew of Christina work tirelessly throughout the year to make this happen and to fail at this late hour would be a real tragedy.
The Christina family needs your support. We hear it every year from passengers aboard the boat, "if you ever need anything....." So here we are and we are certainly in need!
I'm a burner. This is what we ALL do when someone needs help. I am from northern Arizona where we have small communities so Burning man and the family that has grown for me around it is truly magical! Flipper, Kelly and the crew have been a source of much happiness on the playa. They always manage to balance fun with that special element of danger that exists at the burn. I cant count how many times I've stood there, in awe of the monumental task that is Christina. Ive personally donated my time each year to go over wiring, help with layout of sound and also as a Dj because the Capitan and crew are so very deserving. The support funds will be used to rent and or buy replacement equipment that was incinerated in the crash. At this late hour just days before the man burns these funds go to resolve immidiate needs.
Your support will be rewarded when you see Christina sailing on the open playa and you know that YOU made it happen! All backers will recive a special token from the crew and unlimited good karma from the universe!!!
