My name is Yuan Escusa, 23 years old. I recently lost my mother, Cristina Laarni David in a vehicular accident in Los Angeles. A driver in a stolen vehicle ran the red light at a very high speed and crashed into my mother’s car. The intense impact made her car collide with two other vehicles, damaging her car extensively. While the other drivers, including the suspect survived with injuries, my mother didn’t. She died at the scene at 46 years old.

Our hearts are shattered and we’ve never felt this much pain and trauma before. In the middle of all this unimaginable grief, we also have to deal with reality. We have to deal with the financial effects and aspects of the loss of my mother, who we mainly relied on to keep our household together. We are currently making arrangements for her funeral and honestly, I am drowning with sadness, and uncertainty.
