Help Cristina go to the 9th World Kung Fu Champ

Hi, my name is Cristina Sales, I was born and live in Portugal where I practice Tai Chi as a student of Grand Master Wu Xuan.

I am proudly part of the Seleção Portuguesa de Artes Marciais Chinesas (the Portuguese nacional team for Chinese Martial Arts) and this year I will represent Portugal at the 9th World Kung Fu Championship in Emeishan, Sichuan, China, from the 23rd to the 28th of August 2023.

Previously, I have participated in some European Championships of Traditional Chinese Martial Arts, namely in Russia in 2019 (where I won 2 silver medals and 1 bronze medal) and also in Greece in 2022 (where I won 1 silver medal and 1 bronze medal), but this will be the first time I will participate in a World Championship.

Around 9000 athletes are expected to participate representing their countries.

But, far beyond being a competition, it will be a grand celebration of Chinese Martial Arts, in which I will present my work and effort of many years with dedication and commitment, in which all participants will honor the ethics and values of the sport and from where we will all return enriched.

However, to be able to attend, I have to be able to gather the necessary funding for my participation, which is expected to cost around €2000 (flights + train 1400€, accommodation and food 400€, Insurance + Visa +.. 200€).
