My name is Cristina, and I’m reaching out for help as I work toward my dream of becoming a cosmetologist. Several months ago, our family’s financial situation quickly became unstable. The stress led to more arguments at home, and eventually, I was kicked out at just 17 years old. Once a week before Christmas and now again permanently a week after my birthday. This has put significant financial and mental stress on me. I spent at least $300 a week ubering myself to and back from work because I don’t have my license. I am working towards this, but saving up is incredibly difficult when i’m paying so much just to get to work. 

I’ve always dreamed of attending cosmetology school, but the tuition and related costs feel impossible to reach on my own. While I can apply for student aid, I’m reluctant to take out loans because I’m afraid of starting my adult life with overwhelming debt. Without any family support, I’m doing everything I can to stay afloat and keep my dream alive, but I can’t do it alone.

Any donation given would go to saving up for my car, cosmetology school, or just money to buy myself groceries for the week. Your support would mean everything to me.
