Cristian, my cousin, is facing an incredibly tough journey. Both of his kidneys have failed, and he now has to do dialysis at home four times a day, each session lasting about an hour. This routine is exhausting, but it’s the only way for him to stay healthy while he waits for a kidney transplant. On top of that, Cristian has to travel to Guadalajara, which is eight hours away from his home, for regular kidney appointments and checkups—sometimes twice a week. These trips mean long hours on the road, time away from family, and extra expenses for food, hotel, and gas.
Guadalajara is also where Cristian is on the transplant list and where his future transplant will take place. Even with help from the government, the cost of the transplant is very high, which is a huge amount for our family. Cristian has a wife and two young children, ages 15 and 11, who depend on him and are facing this challenge alongside him. Every trip, every treatment, and every day brings new challenges, but Cristian keeps fighting with hope and determination.
The funds raised will go directly toward helping Cristian with his travel expenses, medical supplies, food, and gas as he continues his dialysis, attends frequent appointments in Guadalajara, and prepares for the transplant. Any support you can give means the world to us, and I truly appreciate your kindness and generosity during this difficult time.
