At the age of 34, Cristhian was diagnosed with Spinocerebellar Ataxia, also known as Machado-Joseph Disease. This illness refers to a group of rare genetic neurological disorders that cause loss of muscle control, coordination, balance and is progressive, meaning the symptoms worsen with time.
