Hi folks!

Lauren here, and I'm fundraising for my friends, Carrie & Crist, during Crist's cancer treatment.

Crist has been diagnosed with aggressive mantle-cell lymphoma and is currently in the hospital recovering from a stem cell transplant. Stress is the worst thing for healing. Let's help alleviate some of their stress by helping with living expenses and bills while Crist is regrowing his whole immune system. As it may be a while before he's healed up enough to work again, let's take some of the pressure off. Let's help Crist focus on healing and make sure Carrie has time for the hard work of caretaking.

Over the years these two splendid humans have done so much for me, from the small to the large. They are the kind of friends that spent a horrible week retexturing and painting my whole house in 98-degree heat. That week felt like a barn raising, where the community gathers to help. They are the kind of friends that are there for you when you need it. It's my turn to be there for them!

I had to convince them to let me do this for them, but, I know many of you will want to help as much as I do. Let's do a virtual barn raising for Carrie & Crist!
