Hello everyone! My name is Cris Torres.

I was diagnosed with cerebral palsy when I was only 3 months old.

Cerebral palsy is a neurological disorder that affects your brain abnormally and depending on anyone, it can affect your mobility and muscles.

The way I have it is that I have limited mobility on my right side of my body such as my right hand and leg.

As I grow older, I want to be prepared for an independent life & eventually take care of my needs.

I'm somebody who is usually goes out alot for doctor's appointment, groceries, and other hobbies, however I'd take the bus because nobody in the household besides my dad drives, and he's at work M-F and comes home in the afternoon. Using the bus may be nice, but the pros end there. Cons is just that it takes awhile to get from place to place, and sometimes crazy stuff has happened to me before in the bus because fights can occur or any circumstances. So it feels quite uncomfortable to ride in the bus.

This is where my idea of me learning how to drive comes to mind. I wanna be able to depend more of driving on my own because it can help me get anywhere much faster, and would have

the freedom to go anywhere anytime.

Now having cerebral palsy is gonna make driving a challenge, but it is 100% possible achievable because of the technology that exist now.

The struggles I face when learning how to drive with my dad is that due to my right side of my body not working properly I cannot make my foot stay still on the gas/accelerator pedal and have a bit of trouble steering.

I'm unfortunately able to drive if these things I have are gonna be happening.

I'd need to get my own car with its own adaptations such as a left foot accelerator and a steering knob. Which is unfortunately way too expensive to pay for, and that's where you come in.

I've set my goal to **$25,000** to be able to pay for the expenses like my own car and adaptations.

Being able to drive will change my life as I would benefit so much as somebody with cerebral palsy. I could contribute to my family by driving my mom specifically any grocery shopping or any doctor's appointments we have.

I will also have the freedom to start finding a Church to attend to because I believe in our Lord & Savior, and driving will also bring so much more

confidence.

Heck, I can start socializing with other people having the same Christian faith as me, and perhaps make friends!

So, every penny counts, no matter how much you donate big or small, it is still a big help! Share to anyone who would like to donate to accomplish my goal, and I pray for the Lord for blessings to all of you!
