Help Cris Recover After A Hit And Run

On September 28th, 2024, Local motorcycle coach Cris Acquavella was involved in a hit & run while riding near Kipling and 6th Ave. The driver- A man in his upper 60s- was leaving a Lakewood motel when he crossed numerous lanes of traffic and a double-yellow only to collide with Cris and his motorcycle. The impact shattered Cris's femur and forearm through his skin, fractured one of his vertebrae, bruised multiple ribs, and left him severely concussed. The driver then made an escape, leaving Cris unconscious and bleeding in the street.

Thanks to the quick thinking of multiple first responders, Cris was able to be stabilized before being sent to St. Anthony's Hospital, where he underwent multiple surgeries. Cris will continue his recovery in a Rehab facility to regain mobility and independence.

As pictured, Cris's motorcycle was demolished in the impact, along with his ability to engage in both his passion and occupation of motorcycle riding.
