Cricket's Emergency Surgery & Death Passage

April 4: Cricket passed away on Thursday evening with her favorite toys and blanket, in the arms of her parents. Thank you for all your prayers and love, as well as any financial contributions you can make to support our family through her sacred transition.

April 2: Our sweet, longhaired black cat Cricket has had emergency surgery to remove a blockage in her intestine. Her prognosis was grim after complications in the surgery led to respiratory pneumonia; however, she showed miraculous improvement last night. Multiple of the urgent care staff told us this morning that they were surprised that Cricket made it through the night! We are so grateful for all the prayers and love that have already poured in her way.

Cricket's road to recovery will be long, and she is not yet stable. She is currently fighting off the infection in an oxygen chamber, with a fever and antibiotics helping to burn out the harmful bacteria. She still has some odds stacked against her that only expert care (and the grace of community support) can assist with. Her parents, Torie and Nathan, are looking for help covering the current costs of the emergency surgery + hospitalization care. Any amount you can contribute helps this beautiful, beloved kitty and her family. We encourage you only to give what you can!
