Sea Base is a unique Scouting program that offers aquatics programs found nowhere else. 22 Boy Scouts and 4 Scout Leaders from Troop 512 in Springfield, PA, are traveling to Marsh Harbour, Bahamas, in August of 2025 to spend six days living on the sea.

The Scouts crew will snorkel the beautiful, pristine reefs surrounding Marsh Harbour, wade ashore on the many small cays, learn their unique history, and fish for the game fish which are abundant in the Abacos, all aboard traditional Bahamas sailing vessels.

To participate in this amazing sailing program, each scout incurs the cost of the Sea Base program, airfare from Philadelphia to the Bahamas, snorkel gear, uniforms, and sailing materials.
