Hi, my name is Fletcher Brown, and I’m a freshman at Creston High School in Creston, Iowa. I’m part of our school’s engineering and robotics club, and this year we are excited to share that we qualified to compete at the 2026 National Technology Student Association Confe rence in Washington, D.C., taking place June 22–26, 2026.
Our team earned first place at the state level last month in both Digital Video Production and Drone competitions. For many of us, this is our first time competing at this level, and we didn’t expect to make it this far. We’ve put in a lot of time and effort, and qualifying for nationals is something we’re really proud of. That's why we've decided to try to raise the funds to compete at nationals.
I created this page to help raise funds for our qualifying team members: Maddox Hansen, Gavin Weaver, Ayden Tindle, Ben Rushing, and myself, Fletcher Brown.
Our goal is $12,000. This goal is to help cover the cost of travel, four nights at the mandated conference hotel, transportation of our equipment, and offset some of the cost of our chaperones. Because this opportunity came together quickly, many of our families aren’t able to cover the full expense on short notice.
This experience is about more than just competition. It’s helping us build real-world skills like problem-solving, teamwork, and communication that connect directly to careers in tech, engineering, and other high-demand fields. For students in a rural community like ours, opportunities like these are rare but have a real potential to shape our future and benefit our community.
Any support, big or small, helps bring us one step closer to representing Creston on a national stage.
Thank you for believing in us.

Note: Our school's general fund can not contribute to this advanced level of competition. The travel expenses are the responsibility of the families of each student competing. However, we have achieved this accomplishment as a team and plan to fundraise and attend as a team.
Our teacher and club advisor, Ms. Lumbard, is setting up a bank account for our team, and for future donations to future of the club. If you'd like to make a gift by cash or check, please send me a message through GoFundMe. I'll give you instructions, like who to make the check out to and where to mail it. Because we are a student club and not a school-sanctioned sport or activity, our school is not allowed to accept and process donations on our behalf at this time. Thank you for understanding.
