Creed is our beloved 1-year-old German shepherd puppy, and he means the world to our family. Tonight our worst fear came to be. When we were getting ready for bed, we noticed something was wrong after he drank water—his stomach started to look very round and full. We monitored him closely, but within 30 minutes, his stomach felt harder and kept getting bigger and bigger. Creed became lethargic, and we knew something was seriously wrong. After describing his symptoms, we called the emergency vet, and they told us to bring him in immediately.
When we arrived around midnight, the emergency vet felt Creed’s lower stomach and immediately took him to the back room. He received a series of x-rays and an initial examination. To help him stay calm and comfortable, Creed had to be sedated and was given IV fluids. Creeds stomach was 3x the size of a normal stomach, for a deep chested GSD. His stomach was so large it was pushing his other organs together. He’s currently recovering overnight at the vet.
All the funds raised will go directly toward paying for Creed’s emergency vet bills and the x-ray series, IVS, and other services rendered for his care.
Creed is a gentle giant—100 pounds of pure kindness. He’s gentle with cats, dogs, and even butterflies. He loves snuggles, fuzzy pillows, and blankets. He’s an old soul and brings so much joy to our lives. We are asking for your help to give Creed the care he needs. Thank you so much for considering a donation to support Creed and our family.
