Support Alaya During Recovery

Hello There Friends,

My name is Karissa and I created Vintage Souls, a local small business. I met Alaya during one of the many pop-ups here in San Luis County. She is the creator of Monstera Mama and has shared her love of plants with many people in this community. Her positive energy and passion for what she does is contagious. Anyone who has come into contact with her can attest for her beauty inside and out.

Alaya recently had some unplanned health issues arise which called for immediate surgery. Her recovery has been and continues to be a long hard battle. Not only has she been struggling to fund her own daily needs, she has new medical bills that seem too much for anyone person to pay off!

Despite the challenges to her healing process, she still found the time to lend a helping hand to someone while in the hospital. Horrifically, she had the rest of her savings and financial funds scammed from her. Leaving her with nothing.

This story was so heart breaking to me as a fellow small business woman struggling to make ends meet while chasing the dream, but also as a human being. No one, and especially not a loving soul like Alaya, deserves to feel unstable and fearful for their situation. That is why I’ve decided to create this fundraiser to help pull together our amazing community to assist in her recovery. We can’t do it alone. I want her to feel as anyone else should in times of trouble, like they are cared for.
