Project Icarus: Bloodline is the manga and anime arm of the universe, and its vibe pulls straight from the movies that shaped me. Think Jackie Chan classics like Gorgeous, Wheels on Meals, and Rumble in the Bronx—fast, funny, and full of jaw-dropping fight choreography—mixed with the hard-hitting intensity of The Raid 1 & 2, Ninja Assassin, Ong-Bak, Dragon Tiger Gate, and Twilight of the Warriors: Walled In. On the anime and gaming side, it’s got that chaotic, off-the-wall humor and sharp energy of Gintama and Jujutsu Kaisen, the supernatural grit of Yu Yu Hakusho, and the cinematic punch of Final Fantasy VII Remake. Bloodline is built to feel like a nonstop adrenaline rush where martial arts, comedy, and raw storytelling collide in a world that’s equal parts stylish and dangerous.
Project Icarus: Rise is the 3D fighting game that ties into that universe, and for this one I’m pulling heavy inspiration from my favorite fighter, Rival Schools, alongside like Tekken, Virtua Fighter, Street Fighter 6. The goal isn’t just to make another fighting game, but to create something that’s fun, chaotic, and full of personality, where each character feels alive both in their playstyle and story. I want the development process to be just as fun as the end product—building something that pays homage to the games I grew up on while carving out its own wild, unforgettable identity.
