Help Launch Bright Pathways Academy – Boise's First Autism-Focused Tutoring Center

Hello Friends, Family, and Supporters of Neurodiverse Learners,

My name is Fiona, dedicated mom of three incredible neurodivergent children. As a special education teacher and behavior specialist, I’ve spent years helping other families—but now it’s time to bring that passion home.

After researching and connecting with families across Idaho, I was shocked to learn that Boise has no dedicated autism school or full-spectrum tutoring center. Families here are desperate for meaningful support. That’s why I’m starting Bright Pathways Academy—Boise’s first autism-focused tutoring and enrichment center—and I need your help to make it a reality.

What Is Bright Pathways Academy?

Bright Pathways Academy is more than just a tutoring service—it’s a safe, supportive, and sensory-friendly educational space built specifically for children on the autism spectrum. Our goal is to empower neurodivergent learners through a whole-child approach that includes:

Core Academics (ELA, Math, Science, and more)

Life Skills & Social Skills development

Music Therapy, Animal Therapy & Yoga for emotional regulation

️ Tech-integrated learning, sensory play, and student-led exploration

‍ Small group rotations (3–4 students) using a blend of ABA, TEACCH, and Montessori techniques

This approach allows each student to learn in the way that works best for them, while gaining independence, confidence, and real-world skills.

Long-Term Vision: From Tutoring to K–12 School

We believe in meeting children where they are and staying with them as they grow. Within our first three years, the plan is to transform Bright Pathways into a full K–12 autism-focused school, continuing our individualized, inclusive, and supportive model through every stage of education.

This means Boise will finally have a complete, structured, and nurturing educational pathway for students on the spectrum—from early learners to young adults.

Our Vision: A Center for the Whole Family

Bright Pathways won’t just serve students—it’s a hub for the entire autism community in Boise:

Weekend family gym time in a no-judgment environment

Free education & resource sessions for parents and guardians

Community meetups, advocacy training, and support groups

We want families to feel seen, supported, and surrounded by love and understanding.

Why We Need Your Help

We’ve secured 80% of our startup loan, and now we just need a little more help to cross the finish line.

We’re raising $182,000—just 20% of our total costs—to help with:

Lease and renovations for a sensory-friendly space

Licensing, insurance, and startup equipment

Educational materials, therapy supplies, and accessible tech
