Help Create a Safe Home for a New Beginning

For the past 5-6 months, I’ve been living in an increasingly unsafe and volatile environment, with escalating verbal harassment from someone I share my home with. Recently, the situation escalated to the point where I had to involve the police for my safety. I now find myself in a situation where I no longer feel safe where I live.
I’m currently working with my housing stability case worker, the Somerville Police crisis support team, and my landlord to find a solution to the current situation. However, I am also seeking alternative housing options as a precaution.
Having been on the job market for 6 months and only recently starting a new role in April, I haven’t been able to build a nest egg, leaving me in a vulnerable financial position.
Asking for help doesn’t come easy for me—not because of pride but because of personal experience. However, I’m reaching out to my community now, asking for your support to help me create the safety net I need to find stable housing. Any contribution, no matter how small, would make a huge difference and is deeply appreciated.
