Hi! My name is Barbara Lee, an Occupational Therapist working with hardworking and resilient students in an underserved community at a Title 1 school. I support children with special and unique needs—helping them develop the skills they need to learn, grow, and feel confident in themselves each day.
Many of my students face challenges with emotional regulation, attention, and sensory processing, which can make it hard for them to fully engage in the classroom. To better support their needs, I’m hoping to create a Motor and Sensory Room—a peaceful, playful space designed to help students move, calm, and refocus in ways that work best for them.
This room would offer tools to help kids feel safe, centered, and ready to learn. While our school is filled with care and dedication, we have limited funding for a project like this.
If you’re able to contribute, your support would go directly toward creating a space where students can thrive—not just academically, but emotionally and socially, too. Every little bit helps, and I’m so grateful for any support you can offer.
Thank you for helping make this possible,
Barbara Lee
