Help Create a Montessori-Microschool for Our Community
Donation protected
Hello friends and kind supporters,
My name is Priscilla, and I’m a mother, educator, and someone deeply committed to creating a safe, nurturing, and empowering Montessori learning environment for my children and others in my community.
This campaign is to raise $3,000 to transform my garage into a warm and welcoming Montessori micro school for my own children and others in our community. This space will follow the Montessori philosophy and serve as a sanctuary where children feel safe, seen, and supported as they grow and learn at their own pace.
Why This Matters to Me
My passion for education began in an unexpected place: my own childhood pain. I was the little girl in school who was excited to learn—until I met teachers who made me feel small, anxious, and unwelcome. I was punished emotionally for not knowing the right answer, and laughed at by my classmates.
These early wounds stayed with me for years, but everything shifted when I became a mother.
In 2020, I gave birth to my beautiful son—a precious little boy who later was diagnosed autistic. From the beginning, I knew deep in my heart that a traditional classroom wouldn’t honor the way he learns. I saw how easily children like him could be misunderstood, just like I had been. That realization led me back to something I had learned years earlier: Montessori education.
As I dove deeper into the Montessori philosophy, I found more than just an educational method—I found healing. I finally understood why so many children struggle in school. The problem isn’t the children—it’s the system.
Why We Need Your Help
I’ve already begun laying the groundwork for my micro school. We will be creating a classroom and using our spacious garage. Here is what our family plans to do…
• Install proper flooring to make the space safe and comfortable
• Add heating and A/C to keep it usable year-round
• Build shelving for beautiful, organized materials
• Paint the walls with calming colors to support a peaceful atmosphere
• Add a dedicated side entrance so parents can easily drop off and pick up their children.
Every Contribution Counts
Whether you’re able to donate $1, $5, $50, or simply share our story, please know how deeply grateful we are. Your support is helping rewrite the story for children who, like my son—and like I once was—just need someone to believe in them.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for helping make this dream a reality.
With love and gratitude,
Priscilla
