Hi, my name is Casey Crawford and I am LuAnn Kiefer’s daughter. I, along with my brother Josh and sister Tiffany, are trying to help ease the burden of upcoming medical costs for our mother this Christmas.

As some of you know, our mom was diagnosed 4 years ago with adenocystic carcinoma. She has cancer in her throat that has spread to her hips, lungs, and spine. Upon diagnosis, she was only given one year to live. After finding another doctor, we found a new treatment plan and thank the Lord she is still here fighting. But, of course, not without a hard, up hill battle. LuAnn has had a major throat surgery to remove the tumor, along with 3 bouts of radiation. After one of those bouts with radiation, she lost all her hair in the back of her head. Another, the radiation ate away at the gum in her mouth and she now has open showing bone she will need to eventually have surgery on. Another round, she had 3rd degree burns on her throat. The cancer had spread to her brain in the summer of 2020 and she faced more radiation as she was having black out spells. She now faces her 4th round of radiation starting on Monday, December 13th. The cancer continues to spread and more radiation and possible new treatment may be needed. Beyond that treatment, she is on a very expensive chemotherapy pill daily. These treatments have taken its toll on her body. With the radiation and chemotherapy pill, she is able to continue to fight this cancer. It helps to shrink the cancer and has even completely gotten rid of the cancer in her brain and throat.

We would love to create a Christmas miracle for our mother. Anyone who knows LuAnn knows she is a saint of a woman. She is always donating money to help others family or friends.. and especially donating to save animals. She has a heart of gold. Let’s show her the magic of Christmas.. let’s show her the heart of gold others have as well. They are weighed down by the financial burden of this cancer and we would love to be able to lighten that a bit for them…
