I am the lead organizer for a Book Drive in partnership with the non-profit organization: African Library Project.

This may be your first time hearing of this organization, and it is my honor to introduce you to the wonderful opportunity of making a lifelong, meaningful impact on the education of children at schools partnered with the African Library Project.

Having access to quality resources is important to teachers and students alike, and I chose to spearhead this Book Drive because my passion for language, literacy, education, and equity inspired my action, as well as the action of those who donated those books (preschool to fourth-grade reading level).

We have met our target goal of books collected and are in the final phase of fundraising and shipping these books across the world to students attending ADYAKA PRIMARY SCHOOL in Uganda.

The $200 goal is for the costs of shipment through the U.S. Post Office. I ask that you please not exceed the target goal. However, any additional donations will go towards the international shipment fee of $95.

If you feel led to donate, your donations will be received with deep gratitude from myself and the students/staff of ADYAKA PRIMARY SCHOOL. If not, I hope you can be inspired by this post of the power of one community to create a positive, meaningful impact on another across a great distance.
