Help create a family for Heather and Michael

Donation protected

I am asking for your support to help Heather and Michael in fulfilling their dream of a rainbow baby after the recent and tragic loss of their baby girl. They have invested well over $80,000 to date after years of infertility treatments, yet they are left with empty arms and empty hearts. My goal is to raise $30,000 to assist with mounting medical bills, counseling expenses, and any future chances of creating the family they so desperately want.

Heather and Michael have been together for over ten years and have been trying to start a family for three of those years. They have a love for children that is beyond measure and would be the most wonderful parents to a child that they so desperately want. They learned pregnancy would be a long road for Heather because of previously unknown preexisting health conditions. However, they were steadfast in their dream to start a family.

When Heather's infertility journey first began, she was forced to transition to part-time work to allow her to focus on her health and treatment. This involved months of invasive evaluations, medications and painful hormone injections.

Unfortunately, their first round of IVF was unsuccessful. It was after this course of treatment that they learned they would be unable to have a child using Heather's eggs. She had to then undergo major surgery to remove numerous endometrial cysts, an ovary, and a Fallopian tube.

She bravely tried IVF again, this time with an egg donor. Heather and Michael were overjoyed to learn they were pregnant in July of 2020. They spent the following eight months of Heather's pregnancy quickly falling in love with the daughter they watched grow and develop through the frequent ultrasounds.

Unfortunately, their joy was short-lived when just two days after her baby shower, Heather was admitted to the hospital with severe symptoms of preeclampsia with HELLP syndrome.  Upon admission, medical staff were unable to find a pulse for their precious baby girl. Heather was induced and Faith Ryan DiFabion was born still on February 3, 2021 at 2:47 am weighing 4 lb, 3 oz at 19 inches long, with undoubtedly the longest feet on record. Had she survived, she would have been a ballerina for sure.

Heather remained in the hospital for four days, only to be readmitted a week later to stabilize her uncontrolled blood pressure. She experienced kidney damage, liver damage, and vision loss; if not for her survivor spirit, Heather wouldn't be with us today.

You have my eternal appreciation for your donation, prayers, happy thoughts and good vibes sent their way; trust me when I say there is no couple more deserving than Heather and Michael. In reading this story, you have honored the memory of Faith, to which Heather and Michael express their deepest gratitude.

In loving memory
Faith Ryan DiFabion
