Please help me raise funds for my parent's business, Zachary Crawford Trucking Inc. On November 16, 2025, my dad's truck, Nelli, caught on fire while he was driving. A random volunteer fireman happened upon the scene. My dad was able to bring Nelli to a stop; but not before driving her, smoke-filled, away from the tree-lined area of the narrow road. When the truck came to a complete stop the source of the fire could not be pinpointed due to the amount of smoke. The fire department the arrived on the scene, put the fire out (determined to be started by bunk hearter/ac). Nelli was destroyed. The police (trying everything to save my parents more financial hardship of a wrecker fee) allowed my dad to drive Nelli to the local mill. Even with all the debris, Nelli fired up and my dad stood on her step, fingers and legs scortched, steering her down the road. At the mill, Nelli ignited a second fire, which in turn, brought a fire department out for a second time. In the end, Nelli was declared a total loss. The insurance company pried into my parent's business and personal lives and widdled away at the insurance coverage amount until the insurance check did not pay off the debt they had from Nelli. You see, my parents have had some devastation in their lives throughout the past several years. My mom received a cancer diagnosis that should have ended up cured within approximately nine months but took two years and came with multiple surgeries, specialists, and ER visits; lost wages, piling bills, and stress followed. Next, at the end 2023 and $40,000 later, came a botched engine rebuild and three months out of work. In 2024, that engine had to be corrected, which is never free. Chalk up another $30,000 and two more months of down time, all while trying to pay off bills from my mom's cancer, the first engine rebuild, throw in a gall bladder surgery and my dad necessary kidney stone surgery. All of these events have led them to where they are today, $25,000 in debt for loans on a truck they don't have anymore. No truck to work or credit to buy another truck. My dad started driving truck right out of high school and has owned Crawford Trucking since 1999. He is struggling to get financing for a used truck after 26 years of being in business. He just wants to continue his business; to continue working.
Any money that they can get to pay off the remaining debt would be a huge help. My dad would be able to get back to work and they could start to heal and rebuild their lives. Thank you so much for considering to help. You can make a difference in their lives.
