After 18 years of fighting cancer, my husband Craig is now on his final journey home. He battled breast cancer for 8 years and has spent the last 10 years courageously fighting stage 4 spinal cancer. We have fought this battle together for so long, but we have reached the end of this difficult road.
As we face these final days, my focus is on holding him close, keeping him comfortable, and spending every moment I can with him. Our son and daughter-in-law have opened their home so we can care for him together, and hospice has been helping us provide the 24-hour care he needs.
While we are trying to prepare our hearts for the unimaginable, we are also facing the reality of medical bills and the costs that will come after his passing, including cremation and final arrangements. With our limited income, these expenses feel overwhelming.
I never imagined I would have to reach out and ask for help, but during this heartbreaking time I simply cannot do it alone. Any support, no matter how small, would mean so much to our family and would help ease the financial burden during these final days and after Craig’s passing.
Thank you for your kindness, your prayers, and for keeping our family in your thoughts during this incredibly difficult time.
Even if you cannot donate, sharing Craig’s story with others would mean so much to our family. Every share, prayer, and kind thought helps us more than you know.
