My brother-in-law Craig has been in my life for 21 years, he and I share the same birth month.... we’re stubborn Taurus together. Friday evening my sister called me in a panic saying that he was unresponsive on the floor,
“I think Craig is having a stroke.”
Her words still run through my head. Craig is
considered self-employed and that day he was out on a job and inhaled too many fumes. His
carbon monoxide levels were 9.5 higher than
they should be for a normal person.
And unfortunately, he suffered a stroke induced by carbon monoxide poisoning. As of now
he is in ICU at Parkview and considered stable. But stable means he will recover but his
recovery will be long and extensive, he is
paralyzed on his left side and will have to learn to walk again. If you know Craig, he is not a
computer guy, he works with his hands, he
does construction, he likes to work on cars
and especially his mega truck, Borrowed
Money, that he takes to mud bogs in Michigan. It breaks my hart that his work and passion is now an afterthought to recovery. Remember
the stubborn Taurus part, he is bound and
determined that he will be back in his truck as soon as he can. With all this being said,
between medical bills and living expenses,
things are going to be very hard financially,
mentally and physically for him and misty.
If you would donate anything that would be absolutely a blessing but if you are unable to donate it would be great if you would share.
Thank you all!
