Help Craig Marsden Restore Hot Water at Home
Donation protected
My name is Craig Marsden. I was recently released from the hospital after a 4-day stay. My sodium numbers dropped down to a life-threatening range, and the symptoms were so bad, I had to go to emergency. Once they admitted me, it took four days to finally get my sodium numbers up in a safe range so that I could be discharged.
Upon coming home from the hospital, I had no hot water in my house. Up until now, I’ve been able to sort of put a Band-Aid on my hot water heater and keep it up and running, even though I was told by professionals over two years ago that it needed to be replaced. Plus, the water heater is over 20 years old! Because of several really bad leaks, the smell of gas permeating the area that the hot water heater is in, and a pilot that refuses to even light now, I absolutely must get a new hot water heater and dispose of the old one.
The price of the new water heater is the cheapest aspect of the total amount I need. It’s the installation that is so incredibly pricey. So no matter what company I use, whether it be Home Depot, Lowe’s, or an independent company, we’re still talking in the range of over $2000.
Since losing my wife last year, I’ve been struggling financially and I’ve had several health issues that have made it difficult for me to work. I have no money in savings and I’m trying desperately just to break even by doing DoorDash, Lyft, and Uber. So that’s the long and short of it. I’ve already been without hot water for over five days. So this I consider to be an emergency situation. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you!
