Craig Holgate, an amazing husband, father, papa, brother, friend, coworker and dog dad! And oh yes, the voice of the early morning show for 30 years at 93.9, WTBX!
Craig has fought courageously for 6 years to beat his cancer but unfortunately, cancer is winning…..as it usually does. Cancer may be robbing Craig of his life but it has never took from him his love, devotion, courage and faith.
Craig has been such an inspiration to so many with his positive attitude, his courageous fight and his love for life; hence his motto - ENJOY EVERY MOMENT!
He’s been an advocate for his family, friends and listeners to stay on top of their health. Get your screenings done! If something is not right, get in early don’t wait!
Craig has never wanted to ask for help from anyone, he’s a proud man but unfortunately now with Craig’s inability to work, it has brought forward many out of pocket expenses- health insurance premiums, funeral costs and unforeseen expenses. In order to bring Craig home after he fell and broke his hip, a ramp needed to be built and a chair lift installed.
As the night host of WKKQ and then the morning show host of WTBX, his listeners meant so much to him! All the prayers and kind words have helped Craig through this journey more than anyone will ever know. He willingly volunteered his time and talent to give back to his community. As he’s said more than once - I love my job - I’ve never worked a day in my life!!
Craig is a huge wood crafter. The stranger looking piece of wood, the more creative he became. This was a talent he received from his mother! Part of Craig’s proceeds were always donated to our local cancer funds in both St Louis and Itasca counties to help others battle this relentless disease.
