Help Craig Elder's new life after 5 Mo Covid Coma
Hi,
My name is Craig Elder. I was a Registered Nurse working in a hospital emergency room for many years. I got Covid 19 and checked into the UMC Medical Center in Las Vegas on December 18, 2020. I ended up with Covid Pneumonia and was put on a ventilator for over 4 and 1/2 months in a Coma. While on the ventilator still in a coma, I got Pneumonia 5 more times, each time with septic shock. I also got another life threatening infection called C-Difficile (Colostrium). I survived and finally woke up. I am still in the hospital and will have to spend another 5-10 months in a Rehab Center trying to get all of my functions back again. The Doctors and Nurses did not give up on me and saved my life. I lost everything and will try to rebuild my life again from scratch/nothing. I am the longest living Covid Coma patient that lived at UMC hospital and maybe in the entire state of Nevada. It has been an epic battle for my life! It was ironic how I helped people my whole life then the same Nurses and Doctors saved my own life! I am forever grateful to the Nurses and Doctors and everyone at UMC hospital in Las Vegas Nevada!!
Thank you so much for any donations or kind words! It is much appreciated. Everyone stay safe and healthy!
