Hi, I’m Sherry and I’m a lifelong friend of Craig and Lisa Foles. I’m wanting to help raise money for them in this trying time. Craig has diabetes, diabetic foot ulcers, end-stage renal disease (kidney failure), MRSA for 3+ years (blood infection), and now he has a vegetation hanging on his heart valve by a string. The vegetation has broken off a piece and has caused a stroke. He is now paralyzed on his right side. The family has decided to get him transferred to UAB, University of Birmingham. They have a new procedure where they can remove vegetation out of the valves with a suction thing. Not sure what it’s called, but they don’t know if he’s a candidate for it yet. Also, they want to know where the infection is coming from that is in his blood because they need to clear this infection out in order to keep the vegetation from getting bigger or keep growing back into his heart valves. UAB is around 4 hours away from their home and Lisa has to have money for gas, food, to pay the percentage of medical bills not covered by insurance, etc. None of this is cheap; I’ve been in their shoes.
