Cozy was never built to be just another coffee shop.
It was built to be a place where everyone felt welcome.
A place where people from different backgrounds could connect. A place where friendships were formed, run clubs were built, first dates happened, study sessions turned into lifelong memories, and complete strangers became friends.
Over the last three years, Cozy has become so much more than coffee. We've hosted run clubs, yoga classes, community gatherings, fundraisers, local artist pop-ups, and events that brought people together. We've celebrated engagements, supported small businesses, created a safe third space, and built a community where everyone could feel like they belonged.
What started as a dream became something bigger than I ever imagined.
Now, Cozy needs a little help.
As we prepare for the next chapter, we're raising funds to make important improvements to the space. This includes new flooring, upgraded seating, improved lighting, ADA accessibility improvements, electrical upgrades, and opening up the floor plan to create a more functional and welcoming experience for everyone who walks through our doors.
These improvements aren't about making Cozy bigger—they're about making Cozy better. Better for our community events. Better for our run club. Better for the people who spend their mornings, afternoons, and weekends here. Better for the next generation of memories that will be made within these walls.
For the last three years, I've poured everything I have into Cozy.
My time. My energy. My savings. My heart.
I've worked early mornings, late nights, weekends, holidays, and everything in between because I genuinely believe in what Cozy stands for.
If you know me, you know I'm not the type of person to ask for help.
I don't ask for help setting up events. I don't ask for help putting up our igloos every winter or decorating Cozy for Christmas. I don't ask for help paying for yoga classes when we're trying to build community. I don't ask for help during our slowest seasons, and I don't ask for help during our busiest days when I'm running around trying to find bags of ice because our machine can't keep up.
I've always had the mindset of, "I'll figure it out."
That's how I was raised.
The truth is, the last few years haven't always been easy. There have been moments of uncertainty, setbacks, sacrifices, and challenges that tested me more than I can explain. But through it all, I kept showing up because I believed Cozy was worth fighting for.
And I still do.
This is not easy for me to ask, but I know that Cozy doesn't belong to just me anymore. It belongs to the community that helped build it.
If Cozy has ever been your study spot, your meeting place, your post-run coffee stop, your first date location, your workspace, your safe space, or simply a place that made your day a little brighter, I would be incredibly grateful for your support.
Every donation, every share, every visit, and every word of encouragement helps us take one step closer to reopening our doors and continuing the dream we've built together.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you for believing in Cozy.
Let's build the next chapter together.
Because Cozy started as my dream, but somewhere along the way, it became ours. ☕️
