Help Co-Worker get through winter

I have a fellow co-worker needing some financial help to get through the winter. She bought an old place that has no electricity and heat and cannot afford to turn it on. With the weather coming up, she needs our help. She's living off eggs and potatoes and will not survive. She has no food, no money for gas, and she's currently living out of her car. I know $300 isn't much for all of us to help her out just to get her by. The guy that was with her drained her dry. How can we help her? She has an old dog that is keeping her head up during this lonesome time but no food to feed it or even a warm place. From hearing the circumstances I'm not sure she will last long.
