Help “Cowboy Up” as he battles Covid Pneumonia

Donation protected
My name is Jamie, my dad is James Dobis, but most of you know him as Cowboy.

If you are fortunate to know Cowboy, you know what an absolutely fun, shit talkin’, rule breakin’, deer huntin’, fish slayin’, joke tellin’, tag line for everything kinda guy that he is. He is just an all around genuine, great guy.

This man taught my brother and I how to bait a hook, and take off a fish. He is our hunting partner. He taught me how to swing a bat, and catch a softball. He taught us how to take no shit, but also don’t give any. He is the epitome of kindness. He will help anyone in their time of need, no questions asked. And, he rarely, if EVER asks for anything in return. When I look up the meaning of Cowboy I see this, and it couldn’t be more true:

“Cowboy symbols represent a spirit of independence and self-reliance. The American cowboy lives what he believes, and does not worry about conforming to anyone's mold. At the same time, a cowboy is a man of substance, strength and courage.”

James “Cowboy” Dobis is one of the strongest men I know. However, right now, he is in need of lots of prayers, good thoughts and positive vibes. He is currently hospitalized fighting Covid Pneumonia, and although we are taking baby steps, day by day… we do know that he will be hospitalized for a while. He is currently also on multiple wait lists to get into a hospital that is fully equipped with the required 24 hour respiratory care he requires. These next few days are crucial.

While this is not something that is easy for me to do, I know worrying about medical bills and being out of work will weigh heavy on his mind. With the hospitals not allowing visitors, we cannot be there to hold his hand, and that kills us more than anything. He needs to know he is not alone and focus on the strength and courage to get better. He needs to know how loved he is and know its our turn to lend a hand and take care of him. He needs to Cowboy Up.

With an extremely heavy heart, I am asking for anyone reading this, if you are able to donate or share, my family and I appreciate any support you are able to provide. But, even more so, I am asking all our prayer warriors, PLEASE pray for strength and healing for Cowboy. ❤️
PLEASE “Cowboy Up” with us!
God Bless you all. ✝️
And please, Hug your family.
~ xoxo Jamie Lynn
