This morning the Cache Valley Hockey community lost a member of its family.
Xylie Hutchinson was in a serious car accident on 11/23/25 while out with friends.
She was ejected from the car and suffered major head trauma along with multiple breaks and fractures in every limb. Because of the lack of blood flow, her brain hemorrhaged, and that has left her with no brain activity.
She came up through CVAHA and this year started playing on the Cache Valley Wild high school hockey team, as well as playing on the all girls high school team. Xylie was also starting her 2nd year as an official where she could be seen having as much fun as the kids that were playing.
Xylie was an incredible force on the ice with her hockey teams. She was a fierce defender of her teammates and an amazing friend off the ice.
She and her family have been a huge part in growing Northern Utah Hockey and she will be missed beyond words.
We are raising money to help her family with her funeral expenses. Any extra funds will go to help pay her medical bills.
Sticks out for Xylie!
