This summer while teaching summer camp, I met with a team of neurologists who were really supportive in diagnosing me with AVM (Arteriovenous malformations) pointed out that insurance may not cover certain things like labs or ordered prescriptions. I've recently switched over medical insurances and providers. So far, I've paid about $600 for lab results while being turned away for lack of resources for the actual visit. That wasn't fun at all.
