TL; DR: Hello, I'm Caroline, Stewart's sister. I have set up this fundraiser to help cover vet expenses for my brother's sweet pup, Trixie, who was shot twice behind Stewart's house on December 28th, 2024. Miraculously, Trixie will pull through this horrifying ordeal but has racked up expensive vet bills. Your donations will help offset these costs and aid Trixie's recovery.

On December 28th, Stewart's beloved pup, Trixie, aka Trixie Banana Cake, was shot twice behind Stewart's house while she was visiting a favorite old deer leg. A neighbor found Trixie passed out, covered in blood, at the entrance to Stewart's driveway. It is hard to fathom the shock and grief that Stewart faced when he first saw her. To say this is every dog owner's worst night is an understatement.

For animal lovers, this level of cruelty is beyond belief. The perpetrator will likely never be known.

Thankfully, Trixie will pull through this, but the vet bills will be staggeringly high. One bullet passed through her back leg, but the second one remained lodged in her leg and was successfully removed by the emergency veterinarians. By some miracle, no bone or arteries were impacted. Trixie made it through surgery and will hopefully be home soon.

Donations will help offset the cost of the surgery to remove the bullet in Trixie's leg.

With skyrocketing veterinary costs, a serious emergency has become a pet owner's greatest fear, draining bank accounts and running up credit card balances.

Donating to Trixie's vet fund would help Stewart, allowing him to focus on caring for Trixie rather than stressing over the cost of this tragedy.

While recovery from the gunshot wounds will be a long road ahead, I can't think of anyone more loving than Stewart and Trixie's big brothers, Pippin and Chupy, to help her heal. With a bit of help from all of us, Trixie can continue to get the care she needs.
