I'm Alex, a recent graduate with a master's degree in marketing, currently beginning a new role while continuing to build my career in the field. I have a background in freelance marketing and photography, and I've been working toward long-term goals centered around growing my own business and creating a stable, independent future.

I recently totaled my car (April 29th), and while I am incredibly grateful to be safe, the impact has extended far beyond the accident itself.

I still owe about $7,000 on the vehicle, and the insurance payout will not fully cover the remaining balance. At the same time, I am starting a new job this week and need reliable transportation to maintain that opportunity. I am currently using a rental, but it is not a sustainable solution.

Before the accident, I was also driving for Lyft to help make ends meet. Losing my car has temporarily taken away that additional income, which has made it even more difficult to manage the financial gap created by the accident.

On top of that, I had just completed my master's degree in marketing and was in the process of finishing my MBA. Because of the timing of the accident, I missed a final exam and was unable to complete the program. While I plan to revisit that in the future, it has been another unexpected setback during an already difficult moment.

I am working toward getting back on my feet, and my immediate goal is to secure a reliable used car. The funds raised will go toward a down payment and upfront costs so I can continue working, rebuild my income, and move forward from this situation.
