Hi, my name is Juliana and I’m raising money for my mom Valerie that was diagnosed with breast cancer. She recently underwent a lumpectomy where they removed 13 cm and unfortunately it was unsuccessful to remove all of the cancer so she is undergoing a bilateral mastectomy due to family history and finding more tumors, they are also checking her lymph nodes to decide if chemo will be necessary. My parents have insurance but have had to pay out of pocket for copays for many different tests and procedures that cost them $10k which was hard on them. My little sisters 13th birthday is also coming up and they have gone out of their way to still give her what they can and luckily we have family that will be able to help with transportation for her to go to her school. After this surgery she will be out of work for 2 months unpaid to heal while we wait for the next steps. I sadly can’t be there for her in person because I live across the country and am the main caregiver of my baby and can’t risk getting her sick.
