Help Cover the Cost of Dane’s Medical Equipment
Donation protected
Hi everyone! I am making this on behalf of my dear friends Glory and Zach. More specifically, their almost two year old son, Dane. Below is a bit about Dane’s story, please donate if you are able and help support the cost of equipment Dane needs to walk. We appreciate all of you!
“During pregnancy we found out that Dane’s right foot was underdeveloped and he would need assistance learning to walk. We weren’t sure what this would entail but knew we would do anything in our power to provide Dane the tools needed to meet every milestone. When he was born with facial paralysis and feeding difficulties doctors ran endless tests and genetic panels in search of answers, and ultimately our Daney was diagnosed with Moebius Syndrome. This diagnosis was a name for the seemingly random assortment of symptoms Dane faces; he has tackled feeding and speech therapies, swallow studies, vital stim therapies, PT, cranial nerve testing, chronic respiratory issues, vision screenings, and the list goes on. Right now our biggest challenges are getting Dane prescription glasses, leg braces and the orthotic shoes he needs to walk. We had an insurance change recently and were just informed that even after meeting our deductible the glasses, equipment and shoes will not be covered. Adding that expense on top of numerous other medical bills is stretching us very thin and we are not sure how to make every end meet. We have had an enormous village encouraging us from day one, and our gratefulness is endless. Dane is a strong, joyful, and resilient little boy facing some tough obstacles. All three of us appreciate you listening to our story and coming alongside us in support, whether that’s through prayers or helping tackle the medical bills. Dane is so loved by all of you and we can hardly talk about it without getting emotional - thank you from the bottom of our hearts!”
