Help to cover the cost of communal pet body cremation
Donation protected
Hi,
I hate asking for help like this but I feel stuck. My dog is being euthanized next week, on July 29. I don’t how to afford my dog’s cremation right now without asking for help. I have the money for her euthanasia. But this month has financially drained me. Earlier in the month we discovered bed bugs. And I’ve had to prepare our house for the exterminator by myself. I’m a single mom of two, they me helped as much as they could. While we are out right now(July 24) I received a phone call from my friends that I had caring for my cat while we have to be out of the house. I guess with his age and the stress of a new place was just too much for him. He sadly has passed away.
I have had to spent a few hundred on bedbug preparation and treatment. And now I have the added cost of cremating my cat too. I’m the type that doesn’t ask for help unless I’m super desperate. I try my best to be self reliant and budget every month to make sure I cover all of my bills and groceries efficiently. These costs are just above my capabilities to afford it on my own.
The cost of euthanasia for my dog is $250+ 13% tax. The cost of cremation is 190+ 13% tax.
I can afford the euthanasia but need help covering the extra expense of cremation and added tax.
I have $30 to my name until next Thursday. If anyone could help me out I would be so grateful. I’m supposed to be coming into a lump sum of money in the next few months and I would gladly donate $250 to a charity (not sure which one atm but most likely for humanitarian efforts in Ontario) once I receive the funds. I can provide receipts as needed and if this is funded I will donate to a charity and provide an update once I do. Even if this isn’t fully funded I’ll donate the same amount.
Thank you for taking the time to read this. Thank you so much if you choose to donate.
