Our 10 year old daughter Kaylee has never been fully potty trained. She has been struggling with urine accidents and constipation all her life. She has had numerous UTIs. Kaylee has had several procedures, tests, and been to lots of doctors since she was little. She is old enough now that she knows this isn't normal and is more concous  of others noticing. She has come home from school crying because she had an accident at school and kids noticed and made fun of her.

Our last option was to try the interstim therapy procedure.  They place a device on your back with a "wire" that goes to your sacral nerve. The interstim electrically stimulates the sacral nerve, which normalizes communication between the bladder and brain and between the bowel and brain. There is a 2 week trial period where the device is on the outside to see if the interstim is working.  If it works then they place the device under the skin after 2 weeks.  Kaylee has gone through the trial period and it's working amazingly.  She has not had a single poop accident since they placed the interstim and her urine accidents decreased by 90%.

We just found out our insurance won't pay for the interstim procedure because she is not 16 years old.  We can not take this device away from her.  She is happier and says she can feel it now when she has to use the bathroom.  The money will be used to pay for Kaylee's interstim surgery which cost over $20,000. Any help would be greatly appreciated. We just want to give our daughter a chance at a more normal life.
