Help Cover Sean Platt Burial & Funeral Expenses

It’s been a rough road for the Platt family.

Paul Platt, who has served the needs of hundreds if not thousands of kids over the past 57 years, including my wife Rita and me and our siblings, lost his oldest son Timothy in 2017 to a viral infection. At the same time, his middle son, Jonathan, was saved from death by a liver transplant, and his 50+ year partner in caring for kids and wife, Jennie, fell ill and couldn’t attend her son’s funeral. She died some time later.

Weekend before last, Paul celebrated his 80th birthday inundated by over a hundred birthday cards.

This weekend, he’ll bury his youngest son Sean who drowned in a freak accident Tuesday while getting into a hot tub.

Still serving the children he loves as teacher, mentor and confidant, Paul has spent his life serving others without regard for his own personal gain. His reward has always been, and continues to be, the smiling faces of children, the sweet hug of the returning appreciative adult, the Thank You cards sent from many of “his kids” living in distant places and the frequent phone calls he makes to them to catch up on their life stories.

Unfortunately, Sean left this life without insurance and Paul, Sean’s wife Erin and their two sons, Mason and Levi, could use our help to pay Sean’s final expenses.
