My name is Are Hegrand (Norwegian) and I'm fundraising for a remarkable activist named Sascha Høvring. This man has been hosting a series of demonstrations to raise awareness regarding pressing societal aspects. Among these are the unreasonably steep prices for electricity in a country that is self-sufficient with this source of energy. Others are demos against wind energy (windmills that kills precious endangered birds by the thousands every year and is unsustainable in every respect), demos against coronapass (that robs the citizens of their freedom) and more.
Sascha is the man behind the movement "I'm not paying" referring to the electricity bills, and he demanded reasonable pricing from his power supplier (the Norwegian company BKK). Many in the "filthy rich oil country" Norway are now unable to pay their electical bills, and that is a huge red flag that ought to garner more attention. The company rejected his request in every sense, and so Sascha took the case to the court. He lost and was sentenced to pay the legal costs amounting to 109 000 NOK (approx. 10 800 USD).
This man has been standing on the barricades for the rest of us, so let's all show some sympathy and acknowledgement to this fact. Do something good for humanity by helping Sascha—a true philantropist and activist—pay his legal costs.
