Hi, many of you who know me also know my cat, Mercedes, or as I like to call her, Sadie girl. Unfortunately, today was her last day on earth, and it is with great sadness for me to announce she has gone to heaven and is no longer with me.

Sadie was more than just an ordinary cat. She was my best friend, my comforter, my soulmate, my family. Sadie lived from 2005-2025 and was 20 years old. I've had her since I was 7 years old. I love her so much and always will. She has been through thick and thin with me and never left my side. Life without her is going to be a hard adjustment, but I am lucky to have Eleanor with me. Sadie lived an amazing life. Her favorite foods included anything from the ocean, chicken, muffins, fruit snacks, and ice cream. She loved to lay in the sun and snuggle.

Although I do not have a definitive answer, it is assumed Sadie had leukemia. It can be hard to detect, and even through Monday, her blood tests came back healthy. This all happened so suddenly and has been very challenging. Thank you to those who have been showing support throughout these past few days. It means a lot to know how positively Sadie impacted so many of you and to know people are in my corner through this.
