My name is Randa, and I am the eldest daughter of Rick and Rhonda Garrison. On May 12th, my dad, Rick, was diagnosed with brain and lung cancer. He had two masses on his lungs and three lesions on his brain. He underwent a craniectomy on May 19th, which went well, but the morning of the 20th, he had a massive stroke. They did an emergency thrombectomy, but it was to no avail.

The stroke caused 45% of his brain to die. His entire left side stopped working. He had clots all over. The doctor even said he had never seen anything like it. They said that had it been a stroke and not cancer or cancer and not a stroke, they could do more. Unfortunately, both treatments negate each other.

On May 22nd, we made the difficult decision to change his status to DNR, and we removed the tube. Rick has spent the past several days surrounded by his loved ones, each getting to spend time with him while he was still more aware.

Daddy Rick has passed away at 9:40 p.m. on May 22nd, 2025.

I am asking for help covering the medical bills and inevitable cremation and other related funeral expenses.
