This fundraiser is to help crowdfund some unexpected extra vet costs here in Portugal for two new pigeons from the Netherlands.

13 disabled Dutch pigeons arrived at the sanctuary on May 22nd.

Of course they had all been vet-screened before coming to me, and were either partially or fully rehabilitated, but 2 of them clearly needed further vet treatment. One (Pippa) arrived with a foot that needed amputation and one (Dewi) with some symptoms not clarified in her medical history.

Here at the sanctuary in Portugal I don't yet have any pigeon vet or any sanctuary-supporting vet, so I needed to use an exotics clinic for pets in a city nearby. This meant that the costs were more than 3 times what they would've been back at Pigeon Rescue base in NL, so, with your help, I hope to be able to crowdfund the cost of the amputation, blood test, and 2 transport costs to the clinic.
