Invasive sinus surgery due to horse accident
Donation protected
Hello, I am Rebecca’s mother and if you’re not aware - in 2019 Rebecca was kicked in the face by a horse. When this happened the Cleveland Clinic treated her as though this was an intentional accident (due to her past drug addiction - even though she had 4 years sober and a clean drug tests the day of the accident) with her seeking drugs. She specifically asked for no opiates and sent her directly to Cole Eye Institute in Cleveland, OH for eye surgery. Never diagnosed her with concussion, did a small
CT scan to confirm no broken bones and sent her home with no concussion or any other instructions. After 2 years of specialists, Rebecca was diagnosed with brain atrophy and early onset dementia at the age of 32 due to an untreated concussion that the CC never diagnosed her with. After years of specialists, dozens of MRIS and tests - we’ve fianlly come to place where she can function fairly normally…however; after seeing 3 ENT drs they have now discovered a piece of tissue/bone/ligament lodged in her left sinus cavity which has progressed to 3 other cavities and caused a severe infection could cause vision loss in the left eye. We are now faced with a 9 hour reconstructive sinus surgery (7 surgeries in one day on July 28th) this medical bill will be in the $10,000 dollar range and any help would be appreciated for her family as recovery will take 2-3 months of none paid work. Even $5 will help! Please help this generous soul get through this invasive surgery without the stress of having to pay all medical expenses out of pocket.
Thank you and God Bless! ❤️
