I'm not one to ever ask for help—I'm usually too proud. But this time, I have no other recourse. I'm not working at the moment, my unemployment has run out, and I'm on dialysis three times a week. Although I've applied for disability, I have yet to be approved. With no form of income and my very small savings dwindling fast, I found myself in an impossible situation when my puppy Pookie was attacked by a pit bull and was very severely injured.

I had to rush Pookie to the vet so she could receive life-saving emergency treatment. She was treated with everything from IV fluids, pain meds, antibiotics, antibacterial fluids, plasma transfusions, overnight critical care, blood work, blood pressure meds, and a few other things I can't even remember—including the kitchen sink. Despite the doctors' valiant attempts, Pookie did not recover. I had to make the horribly difficult decision to end her suffering and put her to sleep.

Now I'm saddled with a vet bill that I can't afford to pay back to credit care, which, by applying and miraculously getting approval, I was able to have them work on my baby. I need to beg for help to pay for Pookie's medical bills. Please, any little bit will help. If you're able, I would be eternally grateful, but if you can't, I totally understand.
